On floating algae

I have a 1/4 acre pond in northern PA. During an August visit I noticed submerged algae growing. I treated it with Cutrine pellets and pond dye. three weeks later on the next visit floating algae covered 20% on the sunny end. I contacted Natural Waterscapes and picked up a gallon of Cutrine Plus later that day. I treated the floating algae and turned up the aerators to 24hrs. Within hours the algae started turning black. A week later the algae was completely gone. Highly recommend following Natural Waterscapes recommendations and products.
Took care of most of the algae. Now we are dealing with duck weed even after applying dye to the pond beginning early in the spring. We think because of the very rainy spring much dye may have drained out and left the remaining very diluted. We are waiting til next spring to do anything additional. .
Used Tsunami DQ, Cutrine plus, and one dose of Propeller. 3 weeks and total satisfaction. Also use muck away tablets and the bottom of the pond is 100% clean. I've been using this combination for about 10 years and couldn't be happier. Midnight blue pond dye !
