Pond Maintenance
This product was highly recommended by our pond guy. First application was today. Will write another review once we see if it does the job we are hoping for. Several steps in cleaning up a severely neglected pond by prior owners.

After doing a lot of research regarding how to fix my leaking 1 acre pond I decided to give Soil Floc a chance to prove itself. I bought 4 -55lb bags each of part A & B or 8 in total. I hired a guy with a Ag drone to spread the product on my 1/2 acre of water surface area. This turned out better than expected to spread it rather than padding around in a small boat. My 28’ deep / one acre pond was built two years ago but has never consisted held over 7’ depth. It filled up twice up to 14’ and 19’ last year only to drain back down to 7’ in a few months time and losing 1”-2” daily. I set up a trail cam on my ponds edge to capture daily pics of actual water depth gauge. My pond was 10’3” on June 1 when the drone applied 440lbs of soil floc. I was both skeptical and hopeful this stuff would fix my problem leak. The facts speak for itself as noted below. I’ve only lost 1” total in 21 days which I attribute to normal evaporation. I was shocked with the results and remain optimistic going forward. My plan is to allow the pond to rise up another 2’-4’ then I’ll plan to add another 8 bags with hopes of keeping the pond depth at the elevated water depth. Time will tell in the end but for now this product has worked as described and given me hope to see it full someday in the future!
I'm hoping that the surf lock corrects the leak it's only been 3 days since I applied the product I guess time will tell. I do want to compliment the people that helped me especially Jamie and Lauren outstanding customer service
My 3 acre pond has not held water since we bought the property. I will fill up with big rains, but lowers in about a months time to 20 inches below full. This winter I burned the back side of the dam and found 3 small leaks that were about 50 yards apart. I kept seeing adds for the pond sealant but was very reluctant. . . . . how could that fix it? I finally bought it and applied the product about 7 days ago. Almost immediately the leaks stopped but I waited till now to take a very close look. I had marked the leaks with t-posts. There is no water coming out now! Its worth every penny!!!!
So far so good, we will have to see if it lasts thru the summer!
I believe it may have slowed my leak, but the pond is still leaking. Is it possible to apply soilfloc a 2nd time and what are the chances of it sealing after 2nd application? Thanks, Skip Opdyke
I put the soilfloc in my pond 10 days ago and so far it has stopped the leak. I have 2 areas that leaked and so far it is holding. I will follow up in a month to check progress
So far I am very pleased with the product. It seems to have sealed our pond. Will see what it is like in a couple of months.

We used SoilFloc to try and restore a pond that had dried up due to developements around the property that diverted the spring that fed it. Using storm waters, we applied the product. nearly 2 weeks in, we are only looking at a 1-3 inch loss per day due to evaporation instead of the 12-18 inches per day from seepage. Residents living near the pond and stated the water has restored their soul as wildlife is already moving back in.
Aaron was very polite, and helpful and answered any questions I had. Had a little trouble on delivery in full which was not their fault and they made good on it and sent the missing bag right away.
I bought and used this product just as directed. Sept 10th. I now have fish dying daily and pond is leaking just ad bad as before. Not a satisfied customer! Hoping the company would refund me at least the cost of product. Losing my fish is bad enough.
It definitely is a bit of a messy process, but if it works it's worth it. I haven't been able to accurately judge it yet as I only got to the first application a week ago. So far it appears to be maintaining levels in the pond and have noticed that the water is becoming less murky near the dam where it was applied, allowing me to assume that it is drawing sediment to it and bonding it to the areas it needed to plug. I bought twice as much as I thought I would need and when I get the second application done and time to have an honest opinion, I will try to remember to leave my findings on your website.
This worked for a lower leak, but as the pond filled, there were too many areas failing to hold. Unfortunately, this product is not enough for us. We think the pond is going to need a liner. You won't know until you try, but worth a try.
I had a seasonal 60' x 40' (2400 sq ft ) pond which required at least 5 gal per minute inflow from stream to maintain - not overflow - water level. The pond was dug in 1968 and never held water during drought. I tried sodium bentonite to seal it without success. After a heavy rainstorm which filled the pond I used 17lbs of "A" and 17lbs of "B" of Soil Floc according to directions using "feed the chickens" dispersal . The pond level was dropping. It stopped stopped leaking in 12hrs and started to rise. It took 12 hrs for the pond to fill to overflow at only 2 gal/minute water inflow. It is still full maintaining depth (3" to 5") despite the inflow rate dropping to 0 which is normal for August, until the fall rains. There was NO loss of frogs, fish, tadpoles, newts, dragon flies nor damsel flies. Blue Herons, deer, bids all love the water! Great product.
This stuff works! After waiting 5 years for the pond to fill, we finally felt it must be leaking. We applied soilfloc to our pond and this summer it has went up 15 feet! It's finally full. Best money I've ever spent.
Water level is rising I hope I do not blow another hole will let you know if I need more sealant
Worked as advertised!! It was easy to apply and the results were amazing.
Awesome received my product quick I would buy again
The product worked as described. The application process as well was as mentioned. The product sealed one of our leaks and slowed the other, we are currently working on the other. So far so good. I believe it works for the most part just as they said. Very pleased thus far. Phil, McDermott, Ohio
This stuff WORKS!!!! Sadly, after I bought EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS $8,000. 00 worth of Bentonite Clay from Natural Waterscapes which did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Soil Floc is a mess to deal with, but the results are awesome! It will find and seal your leaks!
Seems to be working little to soon to know for sure
It helped some, but did not completely seal the leak.
This is the second time I have purchased this product. Each use seems to work better. Would recommend if sealing up your pond is needed.
Haven’t been able too use it yet . The wind just won’t cooperate
Great stuff
So far so good!
So far it is working. I will know more next spring.
This is a great product. My pond has slowly lost water for two years now. It is spring fed, so not alot of water coming in. I applied the soilfloc only on the side i thought the leak was on. 24 hours latter the level had gained 1/2 inch. Gains every day now!
Built a 1/4-acre pond 2& 1/2 years ago. tried bentonite and a total of 165 tons of clay which got us about 3' of water. bought one kit of this and spread it on the shoreline as we filled it out of a creek. Within 2 weeks the pond is full and seems to be holding!
I ordered 1 unit after Hurricane Hellene brought a 6" rain that filled pond. Ordered 1 unit and distributed it as instructed. It sealed pond, and held water level through winter,The last of March,it started leaking again when winter ice melted on pond. I contacted Jessie, and ordered another unit, and distributed it. It seem to slow leak down, with spring filling it slowly. Jessie was very helpful, and answered all my questions. Pond seems to be holding, but I am going to order another unit to keep on standby.
We were nervous about investing more money into our leaking pond but very glad we came across this product. It's working. Customer service was top notch and transparent.
Good add and communicationn many times with Anna nice packaging
So far so good. We have a small pond and knew where the leak was so we concentrated on that area when applying the product. It appears to be holding.
Bought 2000 pounds of bentonite clay and that solved my problem so I Didn’t end up using soilfloc but called and was able to return it with no problem
This is an amazing product! Our 3/4 acre pond has been leaking water and we had no idea how to fix it. I didn’t really want to reexcavate it as I wasn’t sure if that would even fix it. Then I saw the Soil floc. It worked perfectly as described. We tossed it it and it went towards the holes and filled them. Our grass around the edge of our Berm went from super soft and soggy to dry and firm within days. I wish I took a video of it working in the water. It was really cool to see the product join and move in the water
It is a bit ridiculous to apply and clean up afterwards, but I did see a 60% reduction in level drop of the pond. My pond is about 7000 sq/ft about 8' at the deepest area. It does work.
Fast delivery
Not used yet waiting for a large rain storm check back end of the month. thanks for asking
works as advertised
Ended up with a lot more product than expected. Easily covered the pond surface required with half the product ordered based on your recommendation, even after doubling your spread rate recommendation. (8oz of A+B, instead of the 4oz per 10ft square)
It works great. I can cut my grass on the dam side of my pond now which I haven’t been able to do for a couple of years now due to the pond leaking.
No noticeable improvement
I can't really give a review right now ,I just put soil floc in a week ago, so I believe I need to give it some more time to see full results. That said the results I'm seeing so far are very good! My leaks have dropped off noticeably. I am only sending this review because you guys seem to be insistent upon it! If I have a recommendation, it's give people a little time to let the sealant work before asking for a review
First off, the stuff is extremely messy to work with if you get any of it wet. My Lil boat was slimed. I have a 1/2 acre pond that's 11' deep. My bottom has poor clay with rock mixed in. I'd say my liner is about 10" thick, tracked in with a dozer, never compacted as should have been. I located my leak in the bottom of the bowl, where the most hydrostatic pressure was. The pond water would go underground and dissappear, never came back up anywhere. Once my pond had quit spilling from full, it would loose 2" of depth per day. I was considering several tons of bentonite and thought I'd gamble on soilfloc before I jumped way out there, and boy did it pay off! Here's what I did: I used a pvc pipe to stir the bottom of the pond before deploying soilfloc. I used the "feed the chickens" method to put out both part A and B. I concentrated the product over the bowl. The water got cloudy and jello- like during the application, but after 6 hours, it had all settled and water clarity had returned. Low and behold, my pond quit leaking beyond your normal water loss. I didn't loose a fish one during application. If you know where your leak is, have at least 20% clay, and hydrostatic pressure, give this a try. I recommend it. It's not a magic wand, every pond site has different variables, and this will not substitute for poor construction at the end of the day, but it's possible this could save you thousands extra on a repair.
Thank you to all the representatives for their expert advice in helping me stop the leaking from my small pond. It has been a week and a half since we did half of the pond as instructed and will be doing the rest this week. All water life has survived and I am hoping this does the trick. It was heartbreaking watching my pond get smaller everyday last year and worried my fish would not survive. Time will tell because currently we have been receiving a lot of rain but it was definitely worth the money to save this pond. Application was easy, slightly messy but being the 1st time doing this it was relatively easy. I am sure the 2nd application will be less messy and even easier. Thank you so much for your guidance. You guys are great.
Made a big difference almost immediately. I may need another application at some point but I wouldn't hesitate to use this product.
Works great only time will tell how much effect it has on the water level.
Great product
This product was applied 3 weeks ago . To this point, I do not believe it has had any effect on my pond’s leak.
