Background
Jon built his first pond in 1991, a garden pond for his parents that is still thriving today. In 1997 he earned a Master's degree in Hydrology, and went on to work as a Water Quality Specialist with the U.S. Geological Survey and as a restoration hydrologist in the private sector before founding Natural Waterscapes in 2007. Across those roles he has more than 30 years of hands-on experience in pond, lake, and wetland design-build and restoration.
Natural Waterscapes is based in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and provides science-based pond and lake management products and support to owners throughout the United States. The philosophy is simple: use the products we sell, understand the science behind them, and give pond owners honest, evidence-based guidance rather than sales copy.
